In dazzling neon, geometric shapes and lines course along the top of the Korman Suites building at Buttonwood Square. Created as part of the Redevelopment Authority's Fine Arts Program, Neons for Buttonwood has two segments, one facing south, the other east. The strong contrasting colors—red, green, yellow, and blue—make the sculpture stand out like a beacon in the evening sky. The neon tubes are placed at varying depths, and some are set on raceways of a different color; hence the sculpture seems to change depending on the viewer's position and the time of day. One yellow tube on the south façade is actually hidden from direct view, so that it appears only as a soft diagonal stripe reflected off the building.
