Rafael Lozano-Hemmer is an internationally recognized new media artist who creates innovative participatory art projects for the urban environment. His artwork engages new technologies and custom-made physical interfaces that utilize light projections, robotics, sound, and the Internet, as well as sensors and other devices that create platforms for participation.Vectorial Elevation, his most recent large-scale public art installtion, was commissioned for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
