"If you can't dream it, you can't do it."
—Mark di Suvero

Mark di Suvero is considered one of the most important sculptors of our time. He is widely recognized for monumental works that enhance public spaces. Cities in the United States with permanent outdoor installations of his sculpture include Baltimore, Dallas, Grand Rapids, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, St. Louis, South Bend, New York, Toledo, and more. Di Suvero’s sculptures are in museum collections around the world and have been installed outdoors at Storm King Art Center, in the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, throughout the town of Nice, and along the canals of Venice. Di Suvero’s work has a robust energy and physical presence that appeals to a wide audience and invites viewers to experience it from multiple angles. An innovator in the use of industrial materials, he describes his sculpture as “painting in three dimensions with the crane as my paintbrush.”

The Art Association has acquired Iroquois with the generous support of art patron and humanitarian David N. Pincus.
